Dina Bandhu

 Dina Bandhu is our one and only pony. He was thrown out into the street when he became old and his legs began to hurt, because all his life he pulled a heavy cart. That's why his legs are a bit deformed and it was very hard for him to walk. 

He came to us in the condition, and at first, he didn't move around much. His hooves became longer and longer, and it became even harder for him to walk. So we tried to cut the hooves and now he feels very relieved and better. We give him proper care, fruits, grass, and special laddus we make. 

We also walk him often, for 10 to 15 minutes every day, and we leave him on a lawn near trees and bushes,  where he can gaze as much as he wants.  Our plans are to have him walk up to 30 minutes slowly and gradually, so he can recover. 

The walks are very necessary, so they are short now and will increase slowly. He is happy and likes them. When he first came, he stayed in his section for a short while to recover strength. On his first walk, he was incredibly enthusiastic, rubbing his back on the grass and being very friendly. So we try to walk him as often as we can.
